What we believe
Livets Tabernakel is a Bible-based church. This means we want to base our faith and our lifestyles in the Bible and in Biblical principles. We therefore believe on the following fundamental truths:
About the Bible
The Bible is God’s infallible Word and has authority in matters pertinent to salvation and a Christian lifestyle.(2.Timothy 3:15-17)
There is one God who has revealed Himself as our father, in His son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God revealed in flesh. He is both God and man.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; 1 Timothy 3:16).
About sin and salvation
We have all sinned and need salvation. Salvation is obtained through grace by faith in the saving sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
(Romans 3:23-25; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9).
About the Gospel
The saving gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We obey the gospel (2 Tessalonians 1:8; 1 Peter 4:17) by repentance (death to sin); water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial); and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection). (1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts.2:4, Acts 2:37-39; Romans 6:3-4).
About the Christian lifestyle
As Christians we must love God and people. We should live a holy life, both inwardly and outwardly, and worship God with joy. We also believe that the supernatural gifts, including the gift of healing are available for the church today. (Mark 12:28-31; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; 1 Corinthians 12 :8-10).
About the future
Jesus Christ comes back to retrieve his congregation. Ultimately, this will be the final resurrection and the final verdict.
The righteous will inherit eternal life, and the unjust will inherit death. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelations 20:11; Revelations 20:15).
